    Weekly Visitation (Cont. from temple)

Post  Solomon Aros on Sun Nov 28, 2010 10:52 am

The sun was still high in the sky as the door to the tea shop slid open. The blue haired samurai stepped inside, his katana clinking against each other as he stepped up into the store. He slid the door closed and continued on inside. Solomon took a seat at his lonely table in the corner, one that the shop owner always had for him on this day, the one he set aside for remembrance. The waitress came to his table and bowed and then went to the counter. In this small village, no one needed to ask what he was doing or what he wanted. He had been coming to the tea shop once a week for a year now. While he waited for his rice cake and saki to come back, he looked around the room. He saw four men sitting around suspiciously. He was too far from them to hear their conversation, but the way they were laughing and the expressions they wore reeked of mischief. Perhaps there was work to be done. He hoped not, he really didn't like drawing his blade for any reason.

The tray containing his food clinked onto the table, jolting him from his concentration on the group. He looked at the cute young waitress who smiled and the bowed before heading off. He looked at the rot rice cake and the small saki glass and pulled the tray towards him. As he grabbed the cup and put it to his lips, he noticed for the first time that another local peacemaker was seated not far from him. It was Misaki Anei. This woman was a bit of a mystery to him as he did not spend much of his time around her. She was isolated a lot of the time, not just from him. His eyes moved back over to his food as he strained his ears to hear a fragment of the between the four men.

When the waitress brought her the warm green tea she would sip is casually. One hand moved quickly to the hilt of her Katana, gripping onto it. She had to do something or this village would end up like the one she grew up in. Her soft eyes drifted toward the blue haired samurai only a few tables away. Strands of black hair swayed across her face. She remembered seeing this man around here ever so often. He had been kind to stay and help protect this beautiful village and its people. Looking away, she watched as the dangerous four would flirt with the passing women. It disgusted her to see such a sight. She turned back to her tea and stared at the reflection in deep thought. Bitting down on her lower lip, Misaki's face looked more painful than anything else.

Yawning some, she soon finished off her tea and ordered another cup. It was quite delicious, even she couldn't argue. She watched as the vicious man had grabbed the woman's arm and pulled her against him. His blade drawn to her neck, pressed against the fragile flesh. The other men would stand with their blades drawn as well. The leader would speak to the people within the small tea shop."Listen up, we didn't come here for tea, what we came for is much more..Important." He continued to speak about the women and riches of the village, how greedy he was. Misaki glared up at the men, standing from her sea she would speak up. Her voice deep. It almost gave off a warning."I don't think that's going to happen, because you're going to leave everyone in the village alone..."She ordered them, though all she received was a chuckle.

Solomon was sipping his saki peacefully when the chaos broke out. He looked up through his blue bangs and saw the man, sword drawn, threatening the waitress. This was exactly what he feared would happen. Slowly, he sat down the glass and stood up. He stood taller than a typical Japanese man, the better side of five and a half feet. The samurai moved from behind his table and towards the four across the room. As he drew closer, the man with the blade gritted his teeth in a malicious grin and pressed his sword closer to the neck of the woman. The samurai stopped around seven feet from the man and stared at him as if he was nothing but a common citizen. The assailant's eyes seemed to shimmer with the thought of slicing the woman's throat. The blue haired man moved his jacket to the side, revealing his katana. His eyes narrowed as he looked the evil man directly in the eyes. "Tachisaru."

The four broke out in laughter at this threat. It was now that all four of them were focused on him, exactly what he was planning. The first man, the one whose blade was at the throat of the woman grabbed her by the shoulder and drew her back, moving his blade in an offensive manner at the samurai. In this, the woman was no longer in immediate danger. The blade pointed at the lone defender, he replied "Depart? You don't seem to understand who you are-"

The attacker was cut off as a lighting fast silver blur accompanied by a metallic whirring sound went up from the hip of the samurai. The next thing that followed was a spray of red as the man's forearm and sword fell from his body, the sword hitting the floor with a clang. The three men backed away as the apparent leader fell to the ground. The samurai stood, sword drawn and at his side as he stared with purpose at the remaining threats. He uttered his warning once more: "Tachisaru."

Walked into tea room with his sword sheethed and his shield in his hand, it didn't take alot of effort to notice the warrior who was standing next to a downed man and facing the three men who appeared to be backing up in fear.

Without a moments hesitation he drew his sword and adressed the warrior saying: "Why dont you leave those innocent people alone and fight a real warrior."

He raised his steel shield to cover his torso and waited for the warrior to respond.

The samurai looked over at the concerned citizen who wielded weapons he wasn't used to. The shield and sword looked Western, another foreigner? The foreigner's timing was rather impeccable... He looked back up to the men who he had effectively scared into submission, but much to his chagrin, his temporary lapse in attention had resulted in them gaining a little courage. All three had draw their weapons: unchigatas, favored weapons among ruffians for their durability. Solomon crouched slightly and held up his sword in an attempt to warn them, but they were much more brave with the swords in hand. Solomon hated conflict, despite being a peacekeeper. They began to fan out, drawing closer. As the came to surround the two, he shot the foreigner a stern, one-word remark. "Baka."

At that, the three converged, yelling a loud war cry. Even with his training, he couldn't take on more than two attacking foes at once. He was turned to the back of the man with the shield and took on the foe coming from that direction, he was counting on his temporary partner to take on one or two of the others. Solomon's blade clashed with the attacker in front of him. The two blades collided at such a force that sparks flew from the steel like red rain around the two. The next sound was a loud cracking as the thick blade of the uchigatana was fissured, shortly after snapping in two. Solomon's katana rent through it, sending the severed blade flying into a nearby table and the blade of his katana through the man in a clean cut through the left side of his rib cage. The blood sprayed out and away, making a red arc on the floor, not even staining his own clothes.

Looked in confusion as the three people he was standing up for launched the assault on the samurai while he was distracted. A slight twitch of annoyance appeared on his face at this cowardice act; attacking a man from the back was one of the things he would not allow, disregarding if it happend to friend or foe.

He launched himself at one of the assailants, raising his shield to deflect of the incoming blow and using it to keep the thugs weapon in the air to create a wide opening for his own blade.

With a grin he slashed at the mans stomach, causing a huge splash of blood to fall on the ground and on his iron boots. Solandros then withdrew his blade and turned towards the last thug remaining saying: "Its two versus one now, choose your opponent or surrender."

Solomon turned and looked at the final attacker. He was relieved that the man in the armor had the skill to back up the equipment he held; in this case, it was the difference between life and death. He shot his green eyed gaze to the man standing a few feet away. He turned his body towards him and pointed the tip of his blade at him menacingly. Solomon was disgusted at his cowardice, but he didn't show it. Although he hated the wickedness in the hearts of men, he valued life; those where the teachings of his father. He looked him in the eyes with intensity, his silence speaking volumes. He knew this type, the ruffian who was only brave when he had the advantage, and he knew if wouldn't take much to scare him off. To drive home the feeling, he spoke. "Go away, or die."
